March 3rd, 2020. A fine day to be alive. Weather will be nice in Central Florida, everything is starting to bloom, the bees are busy, the butterflies are doing whatever they do. It’s going to be a good day. It’s 33 Flavors Day, Canadian Bacon Day, I Want You To Be Happy Day, National Anthem Day, National Mulled Wine Day, National Cold Cuts Day and Talk In 3rd Person Day. Steve likes talking in 3rd person. In 1634, the 1st tavern in America opens in Boston. In 1812 the US Congress passes the 1st foreign aid bill to aid Venezuela after a major earthquake. In 1931 Cab Calloway records “Minnie Moocher” which becomes Jazz’s 1st million seller. Finally, in 1934 John Dillinger breaks out of jail using a wooden pistol. He said, “I rob banks for a living, what do you do?” This is the birthday of Mississippi John Hurt in 1893. He is a Blues player and I’ll post one of his songs at the end of this. This also happens to be the day that Lou Costello died in at 52 because of a heart attack. He said, “What the use of having ignorance if you can’t show it?”.
