December 12, 2021. Ra will soon rise and ride across the sky as he has done for 4.5 billion years. Ra, aka, the Sun has a projected life span of 10 billion years before it becomes a red dwarf, and this solar system goes dark. Everything has a beginning, a middle and an end. So does 12.12.2021 and I intend to fill it with family, Christmas cookies and make some good memories. One day a year this house turns into a cookie factory and that day is today. It’s also National 12-hour Fresh Breath Day, Festival of Unmentionable Thoughts, National Ambrosia Day, National Gingerbread House Day, National Flower Day, National Ding-a-Ling Day and Worldwide Candle Lighting Day. Moving on: On this day in 1787 Pennsylvania became the 2nd state to ratify the US Constitution. In 1800 Washington, D.C., was established as our Capital. In 1899 on this day George F Bryant of Boston patented the wooden golf tee. In 1914 on this date, the largest one-day percentage drop in the history of Dow Jones Industrial Average, down 24.39%. In 1925 on this date, Arthur Heinman coined term “motel”; opens Motel Inn, San Luis Obispo. On this day in 1946, “Tide’ detergent was introduced. This is the day in 1889 that the poet Robert Browning drew his last breath. Robert said, “Success in marriage is more than finding the right person: it is being the right person” and “Love is the energy of life.” I’ll end this post with one of his poems:

If you are asking if I’d hurt you, the answer is never

If you are asking if I love u, the answer is forever

If you are asking if I want u, the answer is I do

If you are asking what I value most, the answer is you

Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be..

Abide.
